Just Watched 'Crimson Gold.'

An Iranian movie, number 48 on The AV Club’s Top 50 of the 2000s.

It’s about this poor schlub pizza delivery guy who is really nice but also a thief. I mostly liked it. I think part of me liked it because it’s Iranian (I’M SO CULTURED!!!HIPSTER!!!) but it was a pretty good character study of this dude.

The opening scene is fantastic, but it’s so gripping that the rest of the movie can’t quite live up to it. A good quiet Tuesday night movie.
